I just returned from an exciting weekend in New Hampshire where the Professional Photographers of New England gathered for their annual convention and print competition. The two prints I entered won awards and will soon be hung in my studio for all to see. The image shown here is a cropped version of my competition print, "Dinner." Check out that poor spider crab!!!I feel rejuvenated after listening to the speakers talk on subjects ranging from posing and lighting to new products, and the creativity that is possible with today's technology. Cameras have, of course, continued to get more advanced and are able to do more things for us, but it is only those photographers who have mastered their gear and lighting, and who know how to pose, compose, and how to create a powerful image who will continue to thrive in this business. I am so excited to get back in the studio and create some beautiful images!
