Today was absolutely beautiful.
After two hot days, with temps in the 80s-90s, it was finally more springlike and I had the pleasure of spending this morning walking around a woodland garden with a 3.5 year old girl.
We enjoyed looking at the flowers, sitting on rocks, and skipping down the trails.
At the pond, we were pleasantly surprised to see Mother Mallard sitting on her nest, which was lined with downy feathers.
There was also a band of turtles warming themselves on the edge of the water. All in all, it was an absolutely lovely way to spend the morning!
This one is gorgeous! Can we use this photo in our montage of photos for The van Bakeren Foundation? I love the turtles basking in their natural environment, and us people enjoying their serenity. Since you'll get credit, it could be good for you too :-).
