Well, fortunately, we have a sump pump and I've been able to have fun looking at the flood waters around town instead of working on pumping out our basement!! We are very lucky.
The puddles and flooded roadways are exciting to look at; one neighbor said he hadn't seen a flood like this in 20 years. These photos were taken at the junction of Garfield Road and Route 117.
Where there should be cars whizzing by, instead we have a peaceful scene of a couple with their canoe and a bicyclist walking on the guard-rail(and yes, he did get his feet wet when he got to the end of the guard rail and found there was still about 4" of water there! He managed to not fall in, though!!!
