Three Siblings in the Garden

A few weeks ago, we took advantage of the beautiful light and colors in our portrait garden to photograph these three siblings.












The kids were great - lots of fun, lots of laughs, and lots of looking for frogs!!!!

Studio Session with two great kids

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing these two cute kids in my studio!












The girl's pigtails were irresistibly cute! I love how they turn up a bit at the ends.







We had a really fun time playing and taking great photos. The little boy brought his toy dino that his grandfather had made. What beautiful craftsmanship - and fun to play with, too! Roar!!!!

White Pond Session

On Monday afternoon, the light was beautiful at White Pond. This young woman from a local high school was so much fun to photograph. We found lots of different backgrounds where the light illuminated her beautifully and we had a great time!

Senior Portrait Time!

It was a busy weekend with senior portraits. On Monday morning, the light was amazing at the Acton Arboretum where I photographed this young man. We had a great time and took lots of photographs in different locations, taking advantage of the fall colors.

Extended family portrait session in portrait garden

This family was photographed in our portrait garden in August. Included was a grandmother with her five children and all of their families.



The kids were terrific and lots of fun and we were able to get many wonderful photographs!

Another fun summer day in our garden

In mid-August, I had a really fun portrait session with two amazing little boys.
We started with some photos near the pond, culminating in this winner. The dog was great and the kids loved her!

Then, we pulled out the homemade fishing poles and did a little 'rock' fishing. We wondered if we really could catch any fish with the rock at the end of the line....

I love this photo. The boys were having such fun with their poles and this one seems to capture their personalities and the fun we were having.

It was a wonderful session!

Professional Photographers of New England Convention

I just returned from an exciting weekend in New Hampshire where the Professional Photographers of New England gathered for their annual convention and print competition. The two prints I entered won awards and will soon be hung in my studio for all to see. The image shown here is a cropped version of my competition print, "Dinner." Check out that poor spider crab!!!

I feel rejuvenated after listening to the speakers talk on subjects ranging from posing and lighting to new products, and the creativity that is possible with today's technology. Cameras have, of course, continued to get more advanced and are able to do more things for us, but it is only those photographers who have mastered their gear and lighting, and who know how to pose, compose, and how to create a powerful image who will continue to thrive in this business. I am so excited to get back in the studio and create some beautiful images!
