Air Show

The rainy weather held off on Saturday long enough to get some great shots at a local air show. The Collings Foundation, in Stow, held its annual Wings and Wheels Open House this weekend. In addition to the automobile and aircraft collection, there were radio controlled model aircraft being flown in front of the hangar and airplane rides for a few lucky folks.

Two planes, a Boeing PT-17 Stearman (a WWII open cockpit
biplane trainer - really neat and very photogenic with that open cockpit!!) and an AT-6 Texan (WWII Fighter Trainer - handsome, impressive, speedy and very loud!!!!) were in constant motion throughout the day and gave bystanders a great show near the grass airstrip. The pilots buzzed the airfield a few times - it was quite a show!

Being Father's Day weekend, I couldn't resist photographing this happy Dad and his snuggly daughter!
