In June, I photographed this family in my portrait garden.
They were lots of fun and we got some amazing images!
I think this is one of my favorite images.  I love the boys' expressions!

This is another favorite of mine.  The boy is adorable and I love how the Dad is looking on in the background.

Big brother by the pond - you can't see the water, but the highlights in the shrubbery are lovely.

Little brother by the pond.  I love how the boy is set against the backdrop of sun-lit shrubs and shaded irises.

This family was full of love, laughs and fun - and we captured that in the photos!

Family portrait session in the studio

In early summer, I had the pleasure of welcoming a family back to the studio.  I photographed the Mom's and Dad's wedding umpteen years ago and now they have three adorable children.  This was the youngest's first portrait session and he was picture-perfect!  What a fun time we had!

Here he is, Mr. Handsome!

I love these Father-Son portraits.

I think this one is my favorite.  I love their expressions!

These family photos came out great.  The girls are adorable!

Another good grouping. What a beautiful family!

The older girls loved their little brother and we captured some amazing images of them all.

I love this Mom and Baby shot.  They'll have this "moment in time" to keep forever.

Real Estate Imagery

Helping out local businesses is part of what I do.  When a local real estate agent was looking for some help with the photography of a house she's trying to sell, I thought it would be fun to try something new and dust off some of the equipment I don't use every day in my portraiture work.  Presenting a beautiful, antique farm house (located in Weston, MA):
What a lovely antique farm house.  Built in 1877, it is built in the Greek Revival style.
The house has a detached barn.
A view of the front porch and the early morning light bouncing off the pillars.

The dining room, right off the kitchen and next to the living room has a sunny window, great for houseplants.
The living room is a great place for gatherings.
The upstairs hall has a sunny nook for reading or writing.

One of four bedrooms, this is a sunny room with lots of space.

The guest bedroom is spacious and beautiful.
The master bedroom suite is spacious with lots of room.
The master bedroom has beautiful, newly re-finished hardwood floor.
Lovely master suite bathroom with lots of light.

The back patio has a great view of the yard with lots of room for kids to play.

Little Robin Redbreast

Little fluffy head
This spring, we had a lovely neighbor move in right next to our studio.  She was a bit loud at times, and sometimes gave us stern looks and scolded us when we walked by her nest, but all was forgiven when we saw the lovely little blue eggs she was protecting in her nest.

"Mom!!!!  Feed Me!!!!"
Mrs. Robin took good care of her eggs and then helped her little ones once they hatched.  I followed their progress from eggs to chicks to fledglings.  Here are some of my favorites.

"Service, we'd like some Service, please!"

Mmmm.  Yummy worms!
Down the hatch they go.
How many insects really can fit into one little bird's throat?

Four Hungry Birds

Three birds in the nest and one's ready to jump!
Two left in the nest.  They're waiting until they're ready.  How do they really know when they're ready?
Still waiting....
The last fledgling made it!  While he perfected his flying skills, he spent a lot of time under the protective canopy of this myrtle ground covering.

Finally posting some images from the last 6 months!

What a wild six months it's been for us here with lots of great photography sessions, including some great community charity events.

In early May, I photographed an event for CycleKids, an organization that helps get children onto bicycles to promote a healthy lifestyle and to combat obesity.

Close to 100 bicyclists gathered in Lincoln at DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park to ride one of three routes, ranging from 25-100 miles.
They raised a lot of money for the organization and everyone had fun!

We're wild about our new framing company!

For almost a year now, we've been offering frames from a great new company. They have designer colors, great choices of frames and trims, and the frames look amazing on lots of different portraits. Here is one of the most recent orders. I love how the blue in the trim matches what they're all wearing. It looks great up on the wall!

Busy Winter!

It's been a busy and exciting winter - lots of snow, lots of shoveling, and now I finally have some time to review my recent work.

Here is one of my favorite images from December:

These girls enjoyed giving their dolls a sleigh ride on this wintry day.

I smile every time I look at this image, remembering the fun they had and how they took such good care of their dollies.

Holiday time Family Portrait

Right before Christmas, this family gathered together for a portrait - everyone was there, including their beautiful dogs!

Thanksgiving Portrait

In late November, I had the privilege of photographing this wonderful family.

They had gathered for the Thanksgiving weekend and we were able to take many photographs of this lovely group. The groupings included kids, a grandchild, spouses, and parents!

This woman loves her sweet little nephew (and the feeling is mutual...).

Actually, everyone loves him! His grandmother had fun playing with his little toes. I love how he's giggling and she's having such fun with him. What a great family.
