Author visits the studio

I had the pleasure of photographing the author of a book about one of America's foremost marine artists this week. It was fun to photograph this gentleman and I liked being able to use one of the artist's paintings as part of the background.

Fun with babies!

Photographing babies is always fun. I love trying to capture the many different aspects of their personalities.

This little one had such a beautiful face and cute little hands. What a sweetheart!

Great family Portrait Session

Sessions like this just make me smile! This was such a fun family. Lots of laughs, really cute kids, and lots of great photos came out of this session last month. Sorry it's taken so long to post them, but it's been pretty busy here.

Busy Days of Summer

It's been a fun summer over here. Lots of great portrait sessions, interesting jobs and, most importantly, lots of time outside. Check out this cute girl seen resting in a strawberry patch in June.

Other news of note is that the Pan Mass Challenge bike event to raise money for the Dana Farber Jimmy Fund was held last weekend. Over 5300 bicyclists rode their bicycles across Massachusetts (either from Sturbridge or Wellesley down to Bourne and then to Provincetown) over two days. If you're interested in learning more, please check out the pmc.org website and contact me if you're interested in sponsoring a rider. This photo (taken by a PMC photographer) shows a small fraction of the more than 2000 riders who started their ride in Wellesley.

Air Show

The rainy weather held off on Saturday long enough to get some great shots at a local air show. The Collings Foundation, in Stow, held its annual Wings and Wheels Open House this weekend. In addition to the automobile and aircraft collection, there were radio controlled model aircraft being flown in front of the hangar and airplane rides for a few lucky folks.

Two planes, a Boeing PT-17 Stearman (a WWII open cockpit
biplane trainer - really neat and very photogenic with that open cockpit!!) and an AT-6 Texan (WWII Fighter Trainer - handsome, impressive, speedy and very loud!!!!) were in constant motion throughout the day and gave bystanders a great show near the grass airstrip. The pilots buzzed the airfield a few times - it was quite a show!

Being Father's Day weekend, I couldn't resist photographing this happy Dad and his snuggly daughter!

The portrait garden is in terrific shape!

I just finished reviewing some photos I took about a week ago in our new portrait garden and they look great.

These young brothers had a great time dipping their toes in our waterfall, exploring the garden pathway and climbing on a BIG rock! Lots of fun = lots of smiles!

Portraits, Bike Rides, and Much More!!!

Things have been incredibly busy lately. From portrait sittings to album design work to photographing the PMC Kids Rides today in Concord and Bolton (bicycle rides for kids to raise money for the Dana Farber Jimmy Fund), it's been busy but fun.

Today, the kids did great in both Concord and Bolton. Both events ran so smoothly and raised lots of money for cancer research; kudos to the organizers! And kudos to the kids, who were amazing! Temps were in the low 90s today and the kids just kept pedaling!
